A Family is Born

When a child is born, a family is born. The doula’s role is to help the family to find a harmonious new sense of normal with baby. Nurturing mama with physical and emotional comfort measures, while assisting her with discovering her babies cues, breastfeeding, light house-keeping and help around the house. The first weeks postpartum are filled with wonder as you marvel at your newborn babe. It can also be an extremely challenging time for new families. Our professional postpartum doulas are here to help you navigate the nuances of this precious time. Postpartum Doulas are a wonderful gift! If friends or family aren’t sure what to get your family, ask them for pre-purchased postpartum doula care!

Families come in all shapes and sizes, and when a newborn is welcomed there are a lot of transitions for each member of the family. Everything from sleep, bathing, feeding, newborn care and chores can leaver parents daunted with the tasks of recovery and integration. The Postpartum doula is here to be NEAR the family: offering Nurturing, Education, Assessment and Resources to help a family integrate their new normal.

  • Create Structured Flow of Help: Coordinate Friends and Family

  • Support in Parents’ Self Care

  • Hands-on education for infant care and postpartum recovery

  • Prepare pump supplies or bottles

  • Sling and Babywearing assistance, education, and demonstrations

  • Processing the birth experience

  • Soothing Baby

Postpartum Package 10 hrs

Three examples of a first week shift:

First Week Home: Day Pkg: 10 Hours $350

three 3-hour visits
+ 1 hour of home evaluation

two 4-hour shifts
+ a 2 hour check-in at week’s end

First Week Home: Night Pkg: 10 Hours $400

one 9-hour night-time shift
+1 hour home evaluation 

Day Support

Postpartum Package $40/hr (3 hrs min.)

Night Support

Postpartum Package $45/hr (8 hrs min.)

Virtual Visits

ZOOM Postpartum Visits $50/hr (2 hrs min.)
